Valentina Ceban is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in diaspora engagement, project management, business growth & development, communication, event management and gender equality advocacy.
She brings over 10 years of experience in international development, tourism, investment attraction, and diaspora-driven initiatives, having worked on transformational projects with USAID Moldova, leading efforts to revitalize Moldova’s tourism and wine industry, support rural businesses, and drive economic growth.
Valentina is actively involved in civil society and leadership networks, holding a position as Executive Board Member of BPW Europe (Business and Professional Women) as Communication Officer, as well as being a Science Communication Coordinator at the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST).
She has successfully designed and launched a European-wide diaspora civic engagement campaign, raising awareness about electoral participation and civic rights, significantly increasing voter turnout among Moldovans abroad.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and has earned certifications in Sustainable Tourism, Project Management (PMP), Cybersecurity, and Political Studies (Friedrich Ebert Stiftung).
Valentina is based in Switzerland, where she continues to advocate for Moldova’s global visibility, support community-driven initiatives, and foster cross-border collaboration. She is the co-founder of "Our Roots", an association dedicated to promoting Moldovan heritage and culture within the diaspora. Additionally, she founded Champions Wine, a brand in Switzerland that promotes and sells Moldova’s top award-winning wines, recognized in international competitions - showcasing Moldova’s excellence in winemaking and strengthening its presence on the global wine map.
